Indonesian police have shot dead two suspected terrorist cell members and arrested seven others after a shootout in Central Sulawesi.
The Indonesian terrorist group East Indonesia Mujahideen, or MIT, is led by a man called Santoso, considered one of the country's most wanted terrorists.
Their jungle hideout, near Poso in Central Sulawesi, was targeted by thousands of troops last month in an air and ground strike that the military called a training exercise.
Santoso remains at large, but Indonesia's government-owned newswire Antara said police had arrested seven suspected MIT members and shot two others dead after a clash.
Antara told AFP news agency the arrests had been made over several days, and that five of those arrested were apprehended in a raid in the South Sulawesi capital of Makassar.
Santoso has taunted police and the military in propaganda videos posted online.
